  2. TerraFlora Update 1.2.0

Hi all! We've just released update 1.2 for TerraFlora, bringing new features and tweaks to the product. We'd like to thank everyone for their feedback as this update couldn't have been done without it! You can find the full details on updating and changelog here: https://www.turbulentdesigns.co.uk/terraflora-update-1-2-0/ New Features: – Added multiple variants for Fall colouring. – Most broadleaf species now have at least two colour variants to reduce the ‘solid carpet’ effect. This means that were a single species is annotated, you will now see colour variants of that species. This is only apparent in Fall and is quite subtle. – Added Red Maples – We had several requests to add missing Red Maples. We’ve added these as a Fall variant (see above) but their placement is quite sparse reflecting the real world as near as we can. – Acacias reworked: The acacia texture has been completely replaced with a new version and the original canopy plane reinstated. – Documentation PDF added (by popular demand) Here are some screenshots!
  3. first trip 737 to EGCC

So here goes with my first trip in my new 737 in P3Dv4, spent a whole week writing a condensed tutorial as 77 pages plus a supplement is just to much to keep going through....all went except I put the wrong waypoint in, set up to fly route and then once in the air noticed my first waypoint was over 4000nm away, oops, but at least I now know how to delete a waypoint and fly direct to the next, also some airways weren't recognised but this is because I can't update v4 I guess....Flight was my usual test route from Bristol to Manchester, real time and real weather using AS16, default textures though as REXTD HD are not updated yet even though JF web says P3Dv4????....was a nice trip, was to high at GS capture so had to go around, flew in by hand and surprised my self, I was of line slightly but smooth.....I can't work out out to set a switch/button for reverse thrust in v4, anyone know please le me know, thanks.... Anyway below are a few shops with a free livery downloaded from their website.....I am really surprised how much I enjoyed the flight.....I think I like the 737 as much as the 320 now....and it works well with GSX but I can only open 1 door.... sorry for the line at the top but I was flicking through some pfd stuff during this flight, I know some of you don't like that but currently can't use my other small monitor.... reread through Jims post re-v4 settings and have adjusteda few things as I appear to have some spare resources.... Wayne
  4. KFUL with toys

So the latest leg was a short 32nm hop from Whiteman into Fullerton Mun with some toys, as you can see it was allegedly a very misty day....initally had to do a quick climb out of Whiteman then a u-turn and head down to 3000ft toward KLAX then hook a left into Fullerton, still got the counter on as this is a new ORBX area and checking the area to see if my settings are ok..... a hazy look out of the window... a busy scene below but still healthy fps... using AS16, guessing this was a good dipiction of the haze.... coming into KFUL....... all parked up, got some old neighbours here...

  6. OK guys, I've given P3D a few goes but what has driven me NUTS is that instead of restarting the current scenario, P3D in its infinite wisdom reloads the default scenario. Every. Damn. Time. So much so that I've rage quite each time lol! I even got a couple birds I would like to fly but just cannot get past this road block. Yes I could turn off the crashes and such but I want to fly as "real" as possible.
  7. Beef to Chivenor

Just a short hop into EGDC, A2A's 182 hauling a small load of Beef, burgers I think, though the weather was not right for a BBQ, very windy coming in on finals, positive landing and something is broken....off to the bar for a few Old Speckled Hens and see what the guy with the wrench can do in the morning..... heading out, some rough weather forcast.... huge clouds...... nice to be out of the clouds, can actually see something now ATC as brought us down a bit.... soon be turning left to line up with the runway.... runway just ahead, over the water.... all lined up but so gusty was hard work in this little'un thanks....
  8. So lots of downloading, installing and setting up......all seems ok as we now add the aircraft...having an issue with QW757, black screens, however no support for P3D and I have downloaded a w7 font file that supposedly sorts it, sadly I don't know what to do with it.... 9. tools to Farnborough

So we now have P3D running I think quite nicely, started a new company in AH2, past my TR and got the first job, just a quick run across to Farnborough with some tools...been having an internet issue (changing provider in a couple of weeks) so had to manually set some weather as I couldn't download real weather....really enjoyed this short one it felt good to be flying instead of installing, and there's a lesson to us all try to fly more and not tweak so much......uneventful trip but on both TR and this the ILS seemed to be taking me slightly to the right of the runway, hand flew in though so all was good, not sure if thats an ORBX thing or Navdata, any suggestions? flying quite low with these clouds.. seems to be clearing here... correcting the ILS error... a nice bit of fun was had....it's good to be back.....
  10. Hi guys, As those of you who saw my last screenshot post on here might have noticed, I've been itching to get my sim to look as realistic as possible. It's not 100% there yet but it's definitely on the right lines. I've literally sat up all night watching youtube videos and tweaking .cfg files and downloading programs.. Here are the results Aberdeen departure at dawn FL280 And my favourite one... Thanks for looking - any more tips on how you all get your sims so crisp please do let me know!
  11. BAW51K EGKK-LOWI

OHi guys - As previously mentioned in other posts - I'm back on flight sim forums. Previously I was ChrisE at JustFlight if any of you came from there a few years back and have the memory of an elephant! Anyway - I thought I'd reintroduce myself with a few screenshots from my ongoing flight at the moment LGW-INN. Currently using P3Dv3 and my computer seems to run P3D very nicely indeed so if there are any tips or addon suggestions to get it looking top notch please let me know in the comments below. Thanks! After departing Gatwick 08R.. just past Maidstone Climbing out. Missed a few SOPs on the way A different view Overhead Brussels - where I spent my 25th birthday on a nightstop! Thanks for looking, please post feedback or ways I can improve my flight simming experience! Many thanks!
  12. QW757 P3Dv3

Hi guys, I stupidly bought a few addons last month for my P3Dv3 without checking that they actually work within v3. I've got scenery issues with Skiathos, Barcelona and Amsterdam sceneries - for which I'll post for help in the relevant forums. This post is about the Quality Wings 757. When purchased it said it would work on P3D but didn't specify which version. After installing it into P3Dv3 I can't get any of the FMC functions at all. I'm just left at a blank ident page. Obviously with this being the case (and bearing in mind this isn't the 60s so VOR/NDB tracking isn't ideal) I haven't actually managed a full flight on it yet, instead limited to circuits at some random field. Does anybody know a fix for this, or any tips on where I might be able to get to the bottom of this? I can post screenshots if required. Many thanks in advance!
  13. Rex_P3D Uninstall_Reinstall

I'm going to start this thread while I'm waiting for P3D to Uninstall - takes forever. I've already restored my scenery/texture files using the Rex procedure and then backed everything up in P3D. The reason for all this activity is that Rex Essentials didn't work in my P3D sim. I started this with the intention of going to the PMDG 777 and got keen on seeing some better upper air textures. After an initial glitch where Rex would not recognize my account for P3D, which was solved by the boys at Rex, I found that a lot of the advertised functionality within Rex just didn't work. Principally, the flight planning and then the "Fly Now" buttons. I'm assuming the textures worked out OK as there were clouds about in the test flight that I did. Problem with that was that I was using real world weather and it was a beautiful day here about so there wasn't much cloud activity. The flight planner in Rex just didn't work - period. I tried several times loading up short flights. They showed up in the box but that was the end. When I hit the "fly Now" button which is supposed to launch P3D and load up all the weather, etc., nothing happened. No P3D, just a button that did nothing. So I gave up on that and went to the page where there was another big "Fly Now" button. Pushed it - nothing! P3D has uninstalled so I'm going to disappear for a while to re-install it. I originally had P3D in the default Win7 location C:\Program Files (X86)\Prepar3d 3D v3\ etc. Rex insists that it should be installed outside that default path, so that's where I'm headed. Incidentally, FSX has always been mounted at C:\FSX. I don't know why I installed P3D in the default location - silly of me, no? See you later.
  14. Prepar3D v3.4 Hotfix 2Fixes and Improvements Added notifications for when a graphics card driver crashes. Can be disabled by setting ShowDeviceLostWarning = 0 under the Graphics section in the Prepar3D.cfg. Correctly applying cloud’s bank to better orient the clouds. 17. Which Flight Sim?

I'm new to the forum and flight sim. I do have about 1000 hours flying multi-pistons. I'm now thinking about flying a turbine Duke for which there is an excellent RealAir sim. At this point, I'm not interested in gaming, but actually using the sim to learn to fly. Is there a preference for FSX or P3D? Is either company positioning itself to work with Oculus in the VR realm? Any help and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. If you want a peak at the latest bug fixes and enhancements then take a look here. http://prepar3d.com/news/2016/03/113446/ It's probably wise to hold off downloading just yet until the devs have caught up
  19. Lockheed Martin Prepar3D & FSX:Steam Edition Support For our customers who use Prepar3D and FSX:Steam Edition instead of or alongside Microsoft Flight Simulator X, we're pleased to inform you that MegaSceneryEarth is fully compatible with Prepar3D V1.XX, V2.XX, and V3.XX releases and FSX:Steam Edition. Prepar3D is basically the same simulator engine as FSX and FSX: Steam Edition is the identical engine as FSX and as result MegaSceneryEarth is fully supported. If the installation for your scenery does not have options for FSX, P3D V1, P3D V2 and P3D V3 you will need to run one of these updaters after you have already installed into FSX if you want to install into P3D V1, V2 or V3. All 4X scenery purchased after 10 January 2016 have complete P3D V1, V2, V3, FSX & FSX:Steam Edition installers. The compatibility in each title will show which simulators it will install into. If you want to install into P3D and it is not mentioned in the product information page, then use on of these updaters below after you have already installed onto your hard drive. It is a big task to update all previous versions. We are in the process of doing so and it should be completed by 31 March 2016. If you have MegaSceneryEarth scenery that you have already purchased and installed into FSX then you will simply need to download and run the respective updaters which will let you enable your current FSX installation into Prepar3D V1, V2 or V3 or FSX:Steam Edition without adding any more scenery files to your hard drive. All it does it add each particular scenery area you have installed into your Prepar3D or FSX:SE scenery library. So you will only ever have one set of BGL scenery files and the scenery.cfg of each simulator has the directory pointers that know where to load the scenery from. More here...
  20. Great news for P3Dv3 users, download from your FSS account. More here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/105483-wales-scotland-new-installers-p3dv3/
  21. Hello! I have recently installed Prepar3d and Orbx England and Wales. And I must say, unfortunately, I am very disappointed. Lets start with an issue I think of as the least important. Anyone who lives here in Wales knows that the scenery is very vibrant and green. However Orbx's Wales scenery (and England) appears very dull, grey and generally a bad representation of Wales. If this is an issue and the beautiful screenshots on the Orbx website are not works of Photoshop please let me know how to fix it! Secondly, and by far the most important issue is the fact that the water is BRIGHT GREEN! As you can see in the screenshots below. That's not right! If you know how to fix these issues please let me know. Adam Heit
  22. Just to advise you that the new installer for FTX NA Pacific Northwest is ready from FSS. Source: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/104345-ftx-na-pnw-pacific-northwest-new-installer-p3dv3/
  23. Lewis has posted the following on Facebook.. The A2A Store has now been updated so P3D users can download v3 compatible installers for free once you log into your account; https://www.a2asimulations.com/store/ The new installers have also been sent out to third party vendors of our simulations and these will become available from the stores as they update. We have also updated the Accu-sim updater so it will correctly read and update a P3D V3 installation here; http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php… And as always any issues please do report them on our support forums here so we can help you get up and flying; http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/index.php

  25. Flight One Software announced today that they have released their popular and highly rated King Air B200 add-on aircraft for Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D. Taking full advantage of the P3D’s updated graphic engine and features, the Flight1 King Air B200 looks absolutely stunning and performs beautifully on this new platform. The Flight1 B200 features a Blackhawk XP52 engine upgrade package. Two factory-new P&W PT6A-52 engines (the same engines used in factory-new 200GTs) provide an increased climb rate, a higher single-engine service ceiling, and a max cruise speed in excess of 310 knots. It is the fastest King Air you can get on a simulation platform, and it’s certified for single pilot operation. The King Air B200 for P3D is a deep simulation of a complex aircraft that you could actually fly all by yourself. The Flight1 B200 features a highly realistic simulation of the real-world B200’s electrical, pneumatic, fuel, pressurization, and oxygen systems. It also includes a brake system that simulates brake wear over time, and a simulated ice protection system that has a purpose: forget to use it and ice buildup on the aircraft will cause flight model changes and failures. G1000 features include realistic lateral and vertical autopilot and flight director modes (with support for fully coupled WAAS approaches), TAWS and traffic displays and alerting, safer-taxi-like airport diagrams on the PFD and MFD maps, in-aircraft creation and modification of flight plans, an updatable worldwide Navigraph navigation database, and a B200-specific Engine Indication System. Also included in the package is a Maintenance Module that monitors aircraft usage at the system level and persistently tracks wear and tear on the engines, propellers, tires, brakes, and flaps. The engines consume oil when they are running, and engine mismanagement on the ground will damage them. Using the Maintenance Module, pilots can make line service requests, make repairs, and enable or disable individual wear and damage features. Less ambitious pilots who just want to fly can disable these features altogether. The Flight1 B200 also features a custom-coded Android application that simulates the GCU 477 remote keypad controller. The app allows pilots with Android tablets and larger cell phones to control the MFD remotely, over a network. Using it saves screen real estate, is more realistic, and has no impact on performance. It’s the perfect add-on aircraft for a pilot who likes the complexity of an airliner, but wants to operate in a single pilot GA environment on the Lockheed Prepar3D simulation training platform.
