As a very staunch supporter of Windows 7, my levels of annoyance have been steadily growing over the last few weeks with this rather annoying Windows 10 icon that appeared in my toolbar. I was never going to be suckered in to the horror of Windows H8, but this nagging and irritating tugging of my skirts (figuratively speaking as I don't wear skirts) was beginning to get my goat. My husband thought he'd download it for a quick gander, but boy, has he had problems! Windows 10 is probably a very apt name for this little pill; not only did it take nearly 10 hours to download and install it, he found that after 10 minutes online it would automatically shut down the LAN connection. Hour after hour, day after day, it was up for 10 minutes then down. He eventually uninstalled it and reverted back to W7. If like him, you have no compunction whatsoever to mess with your happily running W7, or, like me, you are sick and tired of seeing that damned icon in your system tray every time you turn on, this link gives several ways of getting It gone. http://www.askvg.com/how-to-remove-get-windows-10-app-and-its-icon-from-taskbar/
