BTW I just downloaded but did not yet install this program called BSSMM - The Moving Map by BlueSkyScenery(BSSMM_1.1.zip (look halfway down page for DL)). It looks good and uses the above maps among other things.
Has anyone ever used this? I usually use PlanG when I need to look at a moving map but this uses the airanautical type maps which I have only a little experiance with. They do include some informative additional information for pilots not normally found on other maps.(Not that FSX default scenery always exclude them) It would be nice to get others opinions before I install it.
Heres an excerpt from the manual
Welcome to BSSMM, the moving map utility for Microsoft © Flight Simulator FS9 and FSX. BSSMM features VFR and IFR charts.
On top of that you get optional overlays for NOAA weather radar, WikiMapia maps and an AI/multiplayer traffic radar. BSSMM is
easy to use and gives you the ultimate level of situational awareness in both VFR and IFR environments.

SkyVector is a great site. I also have SimPlatesX from Dauntless Aviation with over 30,000 IFR plates to print out from all over the world.

Just an update on Skyvector...
It's no longer just limited to the US. They've recently put up three new series of charts that are world-wide. I believe they are called World VFR, World Lo and World Hi and correspond very closely to the look of US FAA-published Sectionals, Enroute Low Altitude and Enroute High Altitude charts. The latter two are IFR charts, of course.
