I want to start my air hauler career with my favourite aerosoft twin otter, in order to do so i have to start on.easy mode, i have red somewhere that this also changes How your landings are rated and the failure setting is this true? Because i want to start with enough money but landing difficulty etc set to hard, is there any way around this?

Welcome to Mutley's Hangar - best FS site on the planet.

No, you've been misinformed. The only differences between the various start modes are the amount of starting cash, aircraft and reputation. The sole exception is that Career mode is the same as Hard mode but imposes MTOW limits that you must work your way through by completing jobs to qualify for the next weight band.

There are no gameplay differences between start modes - all else is the same, but note that reputation affects ability to lease AC, hire AI pilots, secure bank loans and availability of certain cargo types.

Thanks for the welcome and quick reply, i am glad that i am misinformed, on easy mode dekking my lear just left me with enough money buying the otter, doing my first flights now!! So a plane and no money, excactly how i wanted to start..
Btw any good painters around who are willing to do a repaint for me?
Love the program so far, just delivered some compact disks from ehle the Netherlands (base) to Germany.
Have fsx on real (all), first landing was ok, love feeling the pressure of landing smoothly, btw how do ypu get the map with fellow online pilots in Air Hauler?

Note: to make the game more fun, i decoder that i won't lease any aircraft, will stick to props as well!

Hi and welcome from a fellow Dutchman :)

Are you going to keep us updated on your company? Would be nice to have one more pilot/owner on this forum :thum:

You can see your fellow pilots by going to 'Options' in Air Hauler and then 'AH Radar'

Good luck on starting your company. The beginning is always the hardest, but once you get to know your airplane thing will go smoothly and you can even enjoy the scenery from time to time :D

Sadly i can't log on to the AH radar yet since i can't register at Air Hauler.net i simply do not get my confirmation e-mail, tried hotmail, gmail and upc adress so it has nothing to do with my e-mail server, i quess they are having some issues on their server..
As for keeping you guys updated i just started my Air Hauler company the story is on this forum, new to the story telling so it might not be as good as yours and the others on this forum, but i am trying to keep you guys informed!

On the same subject, I also want to use the Twotter. When I start a new company in medium mode, the "suggested" aircraft is the Caravan. When I start the career, do I simple just fly with the Twotter, or must I import the Twotter, then sell the Caravan and buy the Twotter?

What if I start in Hard mode, I really don't want to fly default 172, could I use the Carenao 337 instead, or even the Just F152?

What if I pick career mode, aircraft limited by rank. Does AH know that I am flying something other that the 172? I would be happy to start in the hardest format and work through it, but not with the MS 172!

Just want to make sure I start off the right way and don't do bad habits from the beggining.

Cheers

Iain

After importing the Twotter and selling the Caravan, I think you may have to lease the Twotter...

BTW, Welcome to The Hangar - regards to Holmes! :thum:
