Hi All,

Maybe this is not the correct part of this forum to post this, but here I think I have a better chance at an answer :)

As some of you know I play Air Hauler exclusively on the islands of Hawaii. I would like to create a realistic pattern of inter-island and off island traffic. Mayor airlines as well as general aviation, maybe even some military flights.
What would be the best way to go about this? I found world of AI on the interwebs and there seem to be a lot of packages for Hawaii related airlines available for that.

I was wondering if world of AI works with Air Hauler in the first place and if there are better alternatives out there to create what I want?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Respectfully,
Menno

Any payware or freeware AI package should work in parallel with AH and FS is pretty good about handling multiple traffic packages.

For military traffic you might try Military AI Works. Their stuff is in "packages" that self-install, except for the optional EditVoicePack stuff for call signs. I was concerned about the self-install packages but they work very well - I have about five loaded, though not in the Hawaii area. A typical package adds updated airports, new aircraft and AI flight plans for them. They even have a trick for launching flights from an airport and returning to the same airport after a "route" with a delay of about an hour - looks for all the world like short, local area training flights but not the usual T&Gs to clutter up the traffic pattern - very tricky.

As noted, there might be some contention for parking spots if some airports are overloaded and that could make your own AI not show as expected, but if that happens, pull the traffic slider down a little and it should be fine.

You should run the scenery import routine in AH after loading any traffic packages because they often change the parking at some airports.

Thank you both for the quick and helpful responses :)

I already installed several airlines that frequent Hawaii in World of AI and installed some custom GA traffic after removing the default FSX traffic.
I am thinking about buying all the 5 Hawaiian airports from FSDreamteam to complement my Hawaii scenery, so some actual airlines that visit there are very nice!

I find that for my current Air Hauler base a GA traffic density of about 32% is perfect. FSX leaves me some parking spots to spawn at. Maybe if I move to a bigger airport I can increase that percentage.

I am going to keep experimenting to see what works best for me.
Thanks again! :)

Had to convert the MAIW for FSX though, using Owl's Nest tools' but no problem including voice packs. Mike

Good point, Mike. I've only used MAIW in FS9 and forgot about that part.
