I have made some repaints for the external textures of the planes but nothing major. This will be (hopefully) a more difficult task for me I guess.

I had this brain storm at work so I have not really looked into it in depth but so far this is what I am going for...

The bananza A36 (I think I have this one) - I want to repaint the dashboard so that it has a wood affect. I will be looking for a red dark looking wood affect - I have found one but as I am at work I cannot save the image lol.

If I do find out I actually don't have the A36 then it will have to be the F33A Bonanza but the leather brownish colour seats of the A36 will make this look even better.

I love the CT210M Centurion II HD but to be honest can you get a better looking dash at night than that one? I think not :)

The inspiration came from the screens of the V35B Bonanza on the Carenado site - that dash is not all wood but part of it is. I just dont like the wings and the rear of that plane unfortunately.

Any updates will be posted here,

Cheers guys

Hi Jim.

Do a search for "pommel sapele" or "Bubinga" or if you want a dark woor with a stripe effect look for some of the South American Rosewoods.
A really dark red one would be "Cocobolo" sometimes this one is so dark it looks almost black though ;) .

Ok so I believe I hav located the texture files and tomorrow I am goin to try and start this!

Plan A -

Start by opening original texture
Create new layer on top with the wood
Set opasity to 50
Delete the stuff not needed

Plan B
Look for a better way :)

There is a night dash and that looks like its gona be hard to edit

Update 1 -
Posted Image

I am going to add some screws too and try and do the same kind of thing on the other half of the dash too. May even have some serperations too so split it up a bit like the original.
I have to look into the night dash to though as it didnt look 100% so I will tweak this too.

Update 2 -

Added some rivet style holdings not screws. now all I want to do is find the blue texture on the sides and change to cream beige colour. Might try and see what I can do with the seats too but who knows :)

And sorted out the night textures too...

So that is the inside done - now I am moving on to the outside for my own personalised plane

No its the carenado a36 buddy! I have not thought about sharing but don't mind if you want it! I must add though it changes all the a36 dashboards for all liveries!

Cheers
Jim
