By way of introduction, John’s Corner will be a regular monthly feature here. I began writing these articles for the Gosport (look it up, you'll be surprised), the newsletter of my local hangout, the Ocala Flight Sim Club. Our newsletter editor, Dave Clark, has been kind enough to allow me the space to blather about whatever I want to – so far, at least. Mutley, our host here, seems to feel equally tolerant and has similarly provided me a dedicated place for my monthly offerings. The first four articles, from back issues, will be the first loaded. Subsequent ones will be posted concurrently with the publication of the OFSC Gosport newsletter, usually two or three days prior to the first Wednesday of each month.

I guess if this were a newspaper, these would qualify as a column. Some might consider this a blog, but I'm far too old-school to be ablogger. To continue the newspaper analogy, this will be op-ed – my opinions and thoughts on aviation related topics, either in the simulated world or the real one. You may agree or disagree with what I have to say, but in any case I hope that you will find it interesting and at least occasionally enjoyable.

This particular thread is a sticky and is locked. It will serve as a banner, but please feel free to post comments or share your thoughts on these topics in the individual threads for each article. I’d be very happy to receive comments, criticisms and in particular, ideas for future articles. You can make them in a reply to an article or privately at Email me or by Private Message through MH.
