Welcome, welcome one and all to this, my first ever blog here at Mutleys.

Well, if you didn't guess already. this is The Scale Modellers Workbench, apologies for the mess...but as they say, even Einstein's study looked like a bomb had hit it!

Over the next few months...or, taking into account how long I took to (finally) complete my Airfix 1:72 Vulcan XH558, years I'll be constantly updating my blog with stage-by-stage build photos, hints & tips and the occasional anecdote from my sustained modelling history over the past 20 or so years.

Currently, to date I've completed so many models the wife had me box them up and store them in the attic.....overall if I remember correctly, there were 50+ shoe boxes of them, and that's only the ones I could get to fit in them! Mainly all WW2 aircraft from both Axis and Allied fronts, but the odd post-war jet and diorama pieces had their showing too.

My newest additions to my collection are a Revell 1:48 scale BF 110-G2/R3 and the Revell Boeing B-17G 1:72 scale kit, both very large models with absolutely tonnes of details, perfect for a little bit of imagination and some 'how-to' entries later on in the blog - so stay tuned!

First onto my modelling workbench which, as it happens, is the kitchen dinner table, will be Revell's 1:48 scale BF110-G2/R3. Currently deep into my research of this magnificent bird, and it's looking to be a great build. I'll share little bit of history and my choice of markings for it later.....stay tuned, because the next update will be full of pictures!

So long for now,

Si.
